Terms and Conditions for the KOKIT Pop-Up Competition

1. Organizer:
The event is organized by SLUM BOY OY alias KOKIT FOOD DELIVERY APPLICATION (referred to as the "Event Organizer"), a food delivery service operating in Turku, Finland.


2. Eligibility Criteria:

  • Business ID: All participants must have a valid Finnish business ID.

  • Legal Right to Work: Participants must be legally allowed to work in Finland.

  • Registered Kitchen: Participants' home kitchens must be registered as an establishment with the local municipality.

  • Hygiene Pass: Participants must possess a valid hygiene pass.

  • Salmonella Test: Participants must provide a recent salmonella test report as part of the health requirements.

  • Assistance: If any participant does not meet the above requirements, the Event Organizer will provide free consultation services to assist in obtaining the necessary documents. All fees associated with government and health authority registrations are the responsibility of the participant.


3. Competition Details:

  • ⁠Event Dates: The competition will take place between October and December 2024. The exact dates will be announced soon.

  • Cooking Schedule: Participants are required to prepare meals every morning, with food ready by 11:00 AM daily.

  • ⁠Delivery Window: Deliveries will occur between 11:30 AM and 3:30 PM daily.

  • Delivery Options: Participants may choose to self-deliver their food or request delivery assistance. If delivery assistance is requested, the Event Organizer's drivers will handle the pickup and delivery.
     

4. Judging Criteria:

  • Customer Ratings: The competition will be judged based on the ratings provided by customers who order the participants' meals through the KOKIT app.

  • Order Volume: The total number of orders received by each participant will also be considered in the final evaluation.

  • Customer Feedback: Detailed feedback provided by customers after receiving their orders will play a significant role in determining the winner.

  • Winner Announcement: At the end of the competition, one winner will be announced based on a combination of customer ratings, the volume of orders, and overall feedback.

5. Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Participants must adhere to all Finnish health and safety regulations, including food preparation standards.

  • All meals must be prepared in accordance with Finnish food safety laws.


6. Liability:

  • The Event Organizer is not liable for any damages or losses incurred by participants during the competition.

  • Participants are responsible for ensuring that their food is prepared safely and that their kitchen complies with all health regulations.


7. Intellectual Property:
Participants retain all rights to their recipes and creations. However, by participating in the competition, they grant the Event Organizer the right to use their recipes, photos, and related content for promotional purposes.


8. Disqualification:
The Event Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any participant who fails to comply with the terms and conditions or any relevant Finnish laws and regulations.


9. Dispute Resolution:
Any disputes arising from the competition will be resolved in accordance with Finnish law. The court of jurisdiction will be in Turku, Finland.


10. Amendments:
The Event Organizer reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions as necessary to ensure the smooth running of the competition, with prior notice given to participants.


11. Agreement:
By participating in the competition, participants agree to adhere to these terms and conditions.
