His passion for cooking took on a new dimension when he started teaching cooking classes in Helsinki. Stepping into someone’s home, guiding them through the process, and witnessing the joy on their faces as they created something special together was a defining moment. It wasn’t just about technique—it was about creating memories, just like the ones he cherished from his own childhood.
Mattia’s love for food is deeply rooted in family traditions. One dish, in particular, holds a special place in his heart: ravioli with ricotta, sugar, and mint, paired with a rich pork sauce simmered for over five hours. This was the Sunday specialty at his paternal grandparents’ house, where his grandfather, a man of few words, expressed his love through the art of homemade pasta.
Exclusively dedicated to authentic Italian cuisine, Mattia takes pride in showcasing the true flavors of his homeland. From the freshest vegetables to top-quality ingredients, he believes that simplicity and tradition are the cornerstones of great cooking. Whether it’s a slow-cooked ragù for lasagna or a beautifully crafted Pastiera at Easter, every dish is a tribute to the generations of Italian cooks who came before him.
While his heart belongs to Italian cuisine, Mattia is also intrigued by the bold and complex flavors of Chinese cooking, another culinary tradition rich in history and technique. Always eager to learn, he sees cooking as a lifelong journey, one that constantly offers new techniques and flavors to explore.
When he's not in the kitchen, Mattia enjoys the simple pleasures of life—spending time with his partner and their beloved pets, exploring the Finnish countryside on weekend picnics, or indulging his love for cinema and live music. But no matter where life takes him, there’s one thing that always recharges his soul: returning home to Milan, where he can reconnect with family, share meals, and embrace the warmth of his roots.
With every dish he creates, Mattia brings a piece of Italy to the table—not just its flavors, but its soul. Whether he’s cooking for loved ones, teaching a class, or perfecting a recipe, his goal is always the same: to make food that tells a story and brings people together.

My cooking style is all about balance: think 80% wholesome goodness, 20% indulgent treats. I’m not here to push strict veganism; I just want to share the flavours, colours, and joy of plant-based food with you in a way that’s accessible and fun.
Cooking is my love language. So, whether you’re new to plant-based eating or a seasoned veggie-lover, I can’t wait to show you why I think plant-based food can be so special.

Some of my favorite childhood memories are the flavors of Lille—think mussels and fries, fresh and simple yet bursting with flavor. Now, I get to bring that authentic taste of France to the local community, and nothing makes me happier! My dishes are rooted in classic French cooking, made special with ingredients sourced directly from France and those bold flavors that are so distinct to French cuisine.
For me, it’s all about sharing the true experience of French food—rich, flavorful, and heartwarming. Whether you’re a Francophile or just love great food, I can’t wait to welcome you to my little slice of France in Turku!

Now, I’m on a mission to bring a taste of authentic Mexican flavor and culture to Finland. For me, cooking isn’t just about filling bellies—it’s about sharing warmth, joy, and even the spirit of Mexico with every dish. Food has that incredible ability to transport us places. I treasure those moments when I’m in the kitchen that, just by tasting something, I feel like I’m back in Mexico once again. That’s the feeling I want to share with you.
So, if you’re ready to dive into genuine Mexican flavors of smoked chillies, vibrant salsas, and deeply flavoured tortilla wraps, I can’t wait to cook for you!


Originally from Peru, Javo began cooking seriously when he no longer had access to his mother’s meals. Recreating those familiar flavors at home brought comfort and surprise admiration from friends. “The first time I made Lomo Saltado and everyone said it was better than at the restaurant, I knew I had found something special.”
His signature dishes include tiradito with yellow lime sauce and a fusion dish of Finnish venison with Peruvian peppers, parsnip purée, and chimichurri. Each dish tells a story of where he's been and what he loves: “I combine what I’ve learned from cookbooks, classes, and nature walks into flavors that feel personal and new.”
For Javo, cooking is a creative craft as much as it is a necessity. Whether it's turning a failed donut recipe into a hit with parsnip or gathering wild herbs in the forest, his food is deeply tied to his surroundings and spirit.
Outside the kitchen, Javo enjoys going to the gym, playing volleyball, restoring furniture, and spending time outdoors. These hobbies not only keep him balanced, they also inspire his next creation. Looking ahead, he dreams of mastering Japanese techniques and cooking one more time for his late grandmother, to show her how far he’s come.

After moving to Finland in 2023, Chamodya quickly realized how different the flavors were from those of her homeland. Determined to keep the taste of Sri Lanka alive, she began cooking and sharing her dishes with neighbors and friends. Their enthusiastic response and appreciation for her food sparked an idea: to bring the bold, authentic flavors of Sri Lankan cuisine to a new audience.
Through Chamo’s Kitchen, Chamodya hopes to introduce more people to the vibrant flavors of Sri Lanka while keeping her own cherished food traditions alive. With every dish, she shares a piece of her heritage, bringing warmth, nostalgia, and a taste of home to those around her.

Lalain’s love for cooking stems from her deep appreciation for flavors, ingredients, and the art of creating dishes that evoke memories of home. She specializes in authentic Pakistani cuisine, with a strong preference for traditional recipes that celebrate the rich culinary heritage of her roots. From fragrant biryanis and hearty curries to homemade kebabs and comforting stews, every dish she prepares is crafted with love and care.
Since moving to a new country, Lalain has embraced the opportunity to share her culture through food. She believes that great cooking has the power to connect people, and she takes pride in offering the true flavors of Pakistan to those who may be tasting them for the first time. With her unwavering dedication to quality and authenticity, she ensures that all her dishes are made with halal ingredients, catering to both the Muslim community and food lovers seeking an authentic experience.
When she’s not in the kitchen, Lalain enjoys spending time with her family, especially her children, who eagerly inspire her next dish with their constant curiosity about what’s for dinner. Her husband is her biggest supporter, always encouraging her to pursue her culinary dreams.
For Lalain, cooking is more than a daily routine—it’s an expression of love, culture, and creativity. And through every meal she prepares, she hopes to bring people closer together, one delicious bite at a time.

One of the first dishes that made me think I could do this seriously was a simple grilled sandwich. I wanted to make a healthier version for my kids at home, and the response I got from them, our guests, and their friends was overwhelming. That moment made me feel like maybe I had something special to share. My signature dish is Manchurian, which I make to satisfy my cravings for the version I used to enjoy with my family in India. It’s not just food for me; it’s a memory, a feeling, and a small win every time I get it just right.
Cooking has always brought me closer to the people I care about. Whether it’s teaching my daughter how to cook, sharing meals with old colleagues, or learning new recipes from family back home, food is my love language. I keep growing by watching videos, trying new recipes, and adding my personal twist, often with a sprinkle of fenugreek seeds, which I love. My dream is to master all types of Indian cuisine, from every corner of the country. Until then, I’ll keep experimenting, feeding my loved ones, and finding joy in every smile around the dinner table.

Najlaa believes that food and dining are ways to bring people and cultures closer together. That is why she favors domestic Finnish ingredients as a food practice and strives to fight food waste.
